Food aid

The Food Aid program was born from the need presented by the Dominican people as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that emerged in early 2020.
2020 has brought unprecedented circumstances to the doors of the world. The Dominican Republic has not been exempt from these situations and, as a developing and economically poor country, its population faces precariousness in terms of basic life needs, such as food, a consequence of the pandemic.

In just two months, the Food Aid project has provided food to more than 1,000 families in the Dominican Republic.

Many Dominican families have lost their livelihoods and are without adequate food. Cultura Viva has begun to isolate those most in need and personally deliver essential food to their doorsteps.

From this program, more than 1,250 bags of basic food were distributed in the most vulnerable communities of the Sosúa communities.
