In 2019 Alegre Global Assistance Charities Inc. a U.S.-based charitable organization working to improve education in the Dominican Republic, took the initiative to create a new trusted partner in the Dominican Republic.

With the urgency to ensure that the funds generously donated to Alegre are properly spent and, at the same time, to be able to execute charitable programs exactly as intended, gave way to a close relationship of a union called Cultura Viva Foundation, Cultura Viva was created on the same principles and purposes that Alegre has at its core. As the main source of financial support.

Once associated with this new institution, both organizations efficiently and effectively created a wide variety of charitable activities throughout the Dominican Republic with great emphasis on the North Coast of the country.

After reestablishing the union under Dominican law, in 2020 the Noche de Cine Gratis program was born. With the specific purpose of bringing happiness and learning to underprivileged children throughout the Dominican Republic. Free Movie Night consists of giving a short educational seminar and then screening movies along with providing snacks to children and families who otherwise see little relief from life's daily struggles.

Since 2019, the collaboration between Fundación Cultura Viva and Alegre has impacted thousands of Dominicans, and with this new contribution granted, this partnership will undoubtedly help thousands more!
